Protecting Landscapes
During this section of the unit on landforms and landscapes we focus on how people throughout Australia work together to protect significant landscapes.
Activity #1
1. Think: about how we as humans can do things to protect landscapes.
Trace over your hand in your book. This method of summarising is
called the 'high five' method. On each of the fingers you need to give me
an idea on how we can protect landscapes.
2. Pair: Find a partner in the room and discuss what each of you have
put down as your ideas. Add any that you didn't think of.
3. Share: As a class we are going to share the ways in which we can
protect the landscapes in our country.
4. Individually, you are going to choose a protected landscape from this
source and summarise what is being done to protect that landscape.
You can present this in any way that you want.
