1. Read the document on 'Folding, Faulting and Volcanism' and highlight the main points. 2. Find an image of the direction of each type of fold and sketch each into your exercise book. 3. Research two examples of each type of fold. Activity #2 1. Download and print these images. 2. Read the information on 'How Mountains Are Formed' and summarise in your own words under the headings: Tectonic Plates, Fold Mountains, Block Mountains and Volcanic Mountains. Activity #3 1. 1. In groups of 5 or 6 you are going to become experts on a type of coastal formation. 2. Each of you need to download 'Coastal Formation' and in your expert groups you will be given a topic to research. 3. Read and summarise the main points of your topic in your expert groups so you can teach your home groups about your type of coastal formation. 4. Draw a 'Y' on your paper so there is three sections.
